  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

  • Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

  • Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.

  • Stir in the heavy cream.

  • Cover the pot and cook for 5 minutes more, or until the potatoes are heated through.

Serve hot with rice or naan.

Tips

  • For a richer flavor, use ghee instead of oil.
  • If you don't have all the spices, you can substitute with other spices that you have on hand.
  • To make the gravy thicker, add a tablespoon of cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon of water.
  • To make the dish spicier, add more red chili powder.
  • Garnish with chopped onions, tomatoes, or cilantro.
